Deez

Deez is working on her first novel which follows the adventures of a feminist porn store clerk in Portland, OR. She has performed her work at the RADAR Reading Series, Homo a Go Go, the National Queer Arts Festival and in the basement of a leather store. She lives in San Francisco with her three-legged dog.

Kat Marie Yoas

Kat Marie Yoas is the author of several zines and chapbooks, most recently Born of the Three. her essays can be found in Not Another Wave: Dispatches from the Next Generation of Feminists and It’s So You: 35 Women on Fashion and Style. Kat has performed her work throughout the US and Europe with the legendary troupe Sister Spit. She’s currently at work on a one-woman show as well as her first novel.

Kirya Traber

Kirya Traber is a 2004 Brave New Voices Poetry Slam Champion and the winner of a Robert Redford Sundance Summit Award. Her work has been featured at the Living Word Festival, SanFrancisco’s Lit Quake, The Stern Grove Festival, and the National Queer Arts Festival, and on tour across the nation with Sister Spit: The Next Generation. She recently released her first solo manuscript, black chick, and is currently working the Residency Program Manager at Youth Speaks, Inc..

Robin Coste Lewis

Robin Coste Lewis is a graduate of Harvard’s Divinity School, where she received a Master of Theological Studies degree in Sanskrit and comparative religious literature. She was the Samuel Valentine Cole Professor of Creative Writing at Wheaton College and Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at Hampshire College. In 2004, she was a finalist for the National Rita Dove Prize. A Cave Canem fellow, her writing has appeared in The Massachusetts Review, The Harvard Gay and Lesbian Review, Callaloo, GCN, The Pocket Myth Series: Orpheus; The Odyssey, and anthologized in the collections Black Silk and The Encyclopedia Project (forthcoming). She has been awarded writing residencies and fellowships at the Caldera Foundation, the Ragdale Foundation, the Headlands Center for the Arts, the Can Serrat International Art Centre in Barcelona, and the Summer Literary Seminars in Kenya. She was born in Compton. Her family is from New Orleans.
