Workshop Facilitators:

The Lady Ms. Vagina Jenkins is a seamstress, milliner, taxidermist, indoor gardener, jewelry designer, burlesque performer, performance artist, award winning filmmaker, stylist, stand up comedienne, actor, grant writer, nuerodivergent femme, and caring friend. Basically, the only thing she don’t do is bull$hit. Find out more about her at www.VaginaJenkins.com. As QCC’s Senior Development Associate, Ms. Jenkins is grateful to work for and with the Bay Areas queer and trans arts communities in the pursuit of that NPIC $krilla. #FundTheRevolution

Krista Smith AKA Kentucky Fried Woman is Qcc’s Development Director and a performing artist. She has been in Development work since 2003, specializing in grantwriting, individual gifts, and fundraising events production. Smith views the arts as a foundational element to creating social change and social equity and is passionate about supporting queer and trans artists in funding their artistic visions.

Together Ms. Jenkins and KFW have written dozens of successful proposals for LGBTQ San Francisco Bay Area based artists, and they have learned a LOT in the process! They want to share what they have learned in a supportive environment for LGBTQ artists.

The workshop will use the Queer Cultural Center’s Creating Queer Community Proposal Template as a sample grant proposal. This is a HUGE bonus for folks who wish to apply to the 2018-19 QCC Creating Queer Community Program, as you can leave the workshop with a draft of your CQC proposal!

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to respond to this email and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Thank you for your interest in the Queer Cultural Center and our Creating Queer Community Program!

With love and gratitude,
The QCC Team
