Queer Cultural Center Managing Director

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience managing and supervising personnel
  • Prior experience managing finances in a non-profit context
  • Prior experience working in non-profit arts field

Compensation:

  • This is a contract position; QCC contracted staff work from home on their own equipment
  • No set hours; average around 80 hrs/ month
  • Hourly rate- Ranges from $25 to $40/hr based on experience

Job Description:

  • Represents QCC at the SF Arts Commission’s monthly meeting of Center Directors and notifies the Commission about staff or Board changes
  • Develops annual operating budget, submits it to Board for final approval; revises it monthly
  • Makes financial management decisions and manages financial contractors such as bookkeeper, independent CPA and tax preparer
  • Participates in the recruitment and selection of QCC staff
  • Annually coordinates all staff evaluations and submits personnel report to the Board
  • Coordinates, schedules and organizes Board of Directors’ meetings; finalizes and files Board meeting minutes
  • Oversees filing of Federal and State Taxes
  • Makes sure all contractors are paid at the end of each month
  • Oversees bank deposits.
  • Maintains the credit card & uses it to pay for QCC’s recurring monthly expenses
  • Guarantees that QCC fulfills all obligations stated in grant agreements and government contracts
  • Files annual Data Arts Report
  • Submits invoices for already awarded funds
  • Checks mail, managing and general email inboxes and routes to appropriate staff
  • Organizes annual evaluation of art services program
  • Coordinates the Management of the Fiscal Sponsorship Program
